The Reepak was a
type of packaging that could be used for all disc formats
such as CD-Audio, CD-ROM or DVD. It was a high quality product developed by Sony,
and made from 100% recyclable paper and cardboard. It offered the advantages of
being both lighter and smaller than plastic packaging like Jewel Cases, as well as more stable and durable than
Card or Paper Sleeves.
In line with Sony's development of environmentally friendly packaging, the
Reepak has been discontinued and replaced with Bend-it Green®, which is a
registered trade mark of Sony DADC. It is made from either 100% recycled or
FSC/PEFC certified material.
